William Beck was an engineer trained in the use of the Munsell color system which considers the attributes and inrelationhip of hue, value and chroma. Part of his analysis is given in the table below for hue and the various plate groups.
B = Blue | G = Green | Y = Yellow | ||||
Hue Numbers | 57.5 – 55 | 55 – 52.5 | 52.5 – 50 | 50 -47.5 | 47.5 – 45 | 45 – 42.5 |

There is a greater distinction when Beck relates hue to value and chroma for the plate groups. The relationships are a bit complex and you must read the Jones and Beck articles to get an appreciation.
